Founder:

Sheryl S. Robertson, MA.

Ms. Robertson founded Independent Study Academy in 2000 and developed its Program of Independent Study. She is the former Executive Director and Chairwoman of the Board of High Meadows School in Roswell, Ga. She is a prior member of the founding board of Mt. Pisgah Christian School in Alpharetta, curriculum designer for ROW-Rivers of the World, and director for Gifted Programs in Ohio. She is listed in the Who’s Who in American Education and participates professionally with the AET Study Group in Atlanta. Ms. Robertson holds a Masters of Arts in Administration & Supervision with 15 years in the classroom during her 30 years in education.

Portfolio Manager:

Charmaine H Landrum, M.Ed.

Mrs. Landrum has been teaching homeschooled students for over 20 years. As a seasoned teacher, she has tutored students across a wide range of subjects and can assist with creating a successful high school plan for each student. Currently, she teaches homeschooled students through Tandem Academy in Jasper. For over 10 years, she taught English, Math, Science, Music, Drama, Spanish, and History and managed curriculum development at Living Science Academy in Woodstock. Mrs. Landrum holds a Bachelor of Science in K-12 Music Education from Toccoa Falls College and a Master of Education in Middle Grades Math and Science from Valdosta University.
